Custom Wood Furniture in San Diego

Made to your size. Your wood. Your style.

When the furniture you want does not exist in a standard size, Rustic Home can help create it. We design and build custom real wood furniture for homes, designers and businesses throughout San Diego, North County and beyond.

Show us a picture. Give us your dimensions. Choose your wood. We’ll help bring the idea to life.

Bring us a photograph, sketch, inspiration image or simply the measurements of your space. We can work with you to develop a one-of-a-kind piece around the size, function and look you need.

Furniture Made to Your Exact Size and Design

Custom furniture gives you choices that mass-produced furniture cannot. Depending on the project, we can customize dimensions, wood species, stain or finish, edge profile, base design, drawer and door configuration, shelving, storage and other details.

That makes custom work especially useful for unusual room dimensions, large dining spaces, difficult walls, specific plumbing locations or any project where an off-the-shelf piece simply does not fit.

What We Can Custom Build

• Custom dining tables and live-edge tables
• Bathroom vanities
• Kitchen islands
• Coffee tables and console tables
• Beds and bedroom furniture
• Cabinets, built-ins and shelving
• Benches and desks
• Office and conference tables
• One-of-a-kind statement furniture

Have something unusual in mind? Do not worry if it does not fit neatly into a furniture catalog. Some of our most interesting projects begin with a customer saying, “I cannot find this anywhere.”

Choose Your Wood and Finish

Depending on the project and availability, we work with real woods such as white oak, walnut, maple, alder, rosewood, mango, acacia and ironwood. We can help select a wood according to the grain, color, durability, design and finish you want.

From natural finishes that celebrate the grain to darker stains and aged looks, the finish can be selected to complement the room and the character of the piece.

Custom Dining Tables

A dining table should fit the room and the people who gather around it. We can create custom dining tables in unusual lengths and widths, as well as oval, round, rectangular and other designs. Options can include different woods, edge treatments, bases and finishes.

Custom Bathroom Vanities and Kitchen Islands

Vanities and islands often need more than good looks. They have to work around sinks, plumbing, seating, storage and precise room dimensions. Custom construction allows drawers, doors, shelves, sink locations and overall proportions to be planned around the space instead of forcing the space to accommodate a standard cabinet.

How Our Custom Furniture Process Works

1. Share your idea. Bring or send photographs, sketches, inspiration images and approximate measurements.
2. Choose the details. We discuss dimensions, wood, finish, style, function and other specifications.
3. Review the project. We confirm the design direction, pricing and estimated production time before the build moves forward.
4. Build your furniture. Your piece is produced according to the agreed specifications, with communication during the process as appropriate.
5. Pickup, delivery or shipping. Depending on the project and destination, we can arrange local pickup, delivery or nationwide shipping.

Custom Furniture for Designers and Businesses

We also welcome projects from interior designers, builders, offices, restaurants and other businesses. From conference tables and reception pieces to furniture made for a specific residential design, we can discuss individual pieces as well as larger custom requirements.
